While they are not new to hiring Workampers for their beautiful Arizona RV resorts, Cal-Am Resorts has recently created an informational web page for you to perurse to learn more about the opportunities they provide.
I had the free membership when I was researching. I got my RV and traveled for a while and then I wanted more stability. I upgraded to a paid membership and made a resume. It was so easy! It’s all laid out in easy steps. You get to pick what states you would like and if you want to just get hookups, or also get paid. I posted a free “situation wanted” ad and in days I had calls from several employers. I had so many offers that I got to pick the one that felt right for me.
This is a great way for people to find jobs while living in their RVs. We took this magazine for years before we retired and visited places we wanted to work after retirement!! We loved it!!
It is getting more real every day! Today I picked up my used travel trailer from the local dealer. The orientation was much more overwhelming than expected, but I got it home and I am in my house eating ice cream and taking a break from reality... Tomorrow I have my first Workamper phone interview with Xanterra, one of the concessionaires for national parks. (Making and sending a resume through Workamper News is one of the easiest parts of this process; thanks Workamper News!)
Thank you, Workamper News, for our first campground host job! We did Amazon Camperforce last year and are signed up again this year. While visiting friends in Idaho, we updated our preferences and received an email about an immediate job opening!
I'm thankful that when we decided to do this we weren't left to our own devices! :-) We had resources and help available to us!! I'm thankful we are able to be a part of this great organization helping us to do what we love!!
Thank you AGAIN, to Workamper News, for our first campground host job at a National Forest in Idaho. My husband was skeptical, but after a month, our manager has asked us to come back next year and my husband has agreed! Yeah!
My third week of my first Workamping experience has come to an end. Luckily, I have 5 more weeks! I was hesitant as a single female to take on this challenge, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. I came in during the Fall shoulder season and am being a utility player, learning and working in a camp store, the "snack shack", and the office. All my colleagues have been extremely helpful and welcomed me into the campground family. I'm living in my 28' Class C without slides with no issues.
