A big focus that WKN has had over the last eight-or-so years is on education. It’s been proven - by others and probably in your own life - that when you’re prepared and educated, you’re more likely to succeed. And we want you to suceed at the RV lifestyle!
Although we (WKN Staff members Luke & Jody) do have some know-it-all tendencies, we actually don’t “know it all” about the RV and Workamping lifestyle. And thankfully, there’s a lot of experts out there with acquired knowledge and first-hand experience who want to share and help others.

When we coined the word Workamper and made it our trademark in 1987, we had no idea that 28 years later it would be so widely used.
Nearly all RVers have at least heard the word, and most know what it means...or think they know. However, there are a few misconceptions about who Workampers are and what Workamping is.
The most common misconceptions are that Workampers are retirees who work in campgrounds, and that Workamping just means trading work for a place to park an RV.

The new website has been up for about 3 weeks now and overall, things are running pretty smoothly. But, we've had quite a few calls regarding the general use of the new website as well as reports of problems that some folks are having.
We wanted to take a moment to touch on some of those issues and to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time of transition!

Welcome to the new Workamper.com!
Workamper News has been working for some time now to bring itself further into today's technologies. The former face of Workamper.com was launched back in 2007, so it was time for a facelift! The backend systems of Workamper News were a string of systems developed over more than 20 years that has now been brought together into one.
