Just to let you know I had four job offers two days after I renewed my membership. Not bad for a single, huh?! Took one in a beautiful mountain resort. Workamper News works!!!
Been pleased with my membership to WKN. Found my first job in the magazine back in 1998 and again in 2000. I remember in 2001 calling the Hotline and locating employment. In the fall of 2009, I rejoined with Workamper Gold and the daily emails helped me obtain employment. Not saying that there aren't other free websites to obtain employ from; 'cause I have looked at them, but "most are for volunteer and work for site only."
During the 7 years we Workamped, Workamper News was our Bible. We were so lucky to have great jobs in wonderful places. We passed our old issues to other Workampers we met along the road. Due to health problems last year, we purchased a home in Florida. We have many wonderful memories of the friends we met while on the road and we continue to tell people about Workamper News. We hope you continue your service for many, many years to come. You are great people doing a great service for those Workampers still on the road.
Thank you to Workamper News! I will be working at Timberlake Campground in WA for the summer. Was looking at the Workamper News site a week or so ago. Heard a ding, looked up, there was this new ad. Read it, picked up the phone and the next day the Employer called back and offered me the job. Have to be there mid-April. How's that for service? Pretty darn good, I'd say. Thanks for your help.
The information on the WKN forums, the magazine and Featured Employers area provided me with enough information to make an informed decision. The phone interview took over an hour. Most of which was details on information I had already received from the above sources. I definitely feel I received my money's worth from being a member. I could have found this opportunity without Workamper News, but would not have known which questions to ask. Looking forward to spring and heading west.
I wanted to thank you for being there for us Workampers. I know I don't tell you enough how much I appreciate WKN and the services you provide; the new services you are providing, to make this lifestyle available to us dreamers. Yes, even though we are living the lifestyle, there are still dreams/what ifs. If it weren't for WKN and your support through the website and the services you provide such as recorded seminars, webinars, campfires, classes...we would not be as successful on knowing how to even attempt to live this super lifestyle!
Flexibility! We just hung up our keys temporarily to help my mom go through chemo - something we never could have done with an 8-5 job. This is the second time in 2 1/2 years that we have had to travel across country for a life-threatening disease threatening a close family member. Workamping provided the opportunity and the means to easily do that!
