Texas. Join us at Cummunity First! Village in our work to lift our homeless brothers and sisters off the streets into restored RVs. Community First! Village is a 27-acre, master planned community in East Austin. The development includes 140 tiny homes and 100 RV pad sites. Amenities include, but are not limited to: a community market, blacksmith shop, art house, outdoor movie theater, library, 3 acres of gardens, 5 outdoor kitchens and 5 laundry and shower facilities. Located just 8 miles from downtown, you have Austin at your fingertips as well as easy access to the beautiful LCRA Highland Lakes. Your RV pad site includes water, sewer, electricity and propane. We are looking for individuals or couples that would like to commit to spending at least 6 months at Community First! Village to assist us in restoring gently used RVs and/or responding to requests for repairs in our existing RVs. We would love to have folks with experience in RV flooring, trim carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting. We request 25 hours of work per week in exchange for a pad site and utilities.
