Washington. Washington State Tribal Salmon hatchery seeking volunteer hatchery hosts. Come share a little piece of paradise in central Washington State. Located in Cle Elum, Washington, in the beautiful Pacific-NW you can join our team and assist in the operations and maintenance of our Spring Chinook Salmon hatchery. The facility is operated and maintained by the Yakama Nation and has been in operation since 1997. This is a volunteer position(s) and we are seeking energetic candidates to assist from May thru the end of September 2020. Work week consist of 20 hours per week, hours 9 am - 4 pm with weekend duty included. General duties include: giving tours, occasionally assist in fish culture activities, assist in our open house salmon bake (mid-July time period), light groundskeeping, NO TOILET CLEANING! Hatchery Host site includes RV site with 50-amp power, water, and sewer provided, washer and dryer facilities available, WiFi is also provided. No pay involved but we smoke some great salmon.
