Oregon. Benton County Oregon campground host needed. Salmonberry Campground and Alsea Guard Station Host needed May 1 - November 1, 2017. Salmonberry Campground and the Alsea Guard Station are located off of Hwy 34, on the Alsea River, 32 miles west of Corvallis, Oregon; the Campground and Guard Station are just a 40-minute drive to the coast and the work schedule is flexible during the week. At the campground there are 28 total campsites, 13 with electrical RV hookups; 1 cabin, 1 yurt, flush toilets, and pay showers. Hosts have a free site, water, electricity, sewer, local phone, internet, laundry facilities, an Alsea, OR post office box and will be paid a monthly stipend. The Guard Station is just 5 1/2 miles northeast of the campground. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath house that sleeps 7 people. Both the Campground and the Guard Station are set up on an online reservation system, so computer experience is preferred but not required. Other host duties include cleaning of restrooms and overnight facilities, keeping campsites tidy, informing guests of rules, and generally serving as a good host.
