West Virginia. Burnsville Lake is recruiting volunteers for the 2023 recreation season (April - November). Multiple positions available. Duties: Will assist with operation of the visitor center and general maintenance at the Bulltown Historical Area. Typical volunteer duties include staffing visitor center, giving tours, providing living history, mowing, string trimming, cleaning facilities and grounds, painting, light carpentry, and general maintenance support. Carter Lake Area (Loveland, CO) - Three reservoirs, three diverse landscapes, and three different recreation experiences; all within a 20-minute drive from the sweetheart town of Loveland. Hermit Park Open Space (Estes Park, CO) - Enjoy quiet solitude nestled in the ponderosa pine forest at 8,000 ft. Iconic Rocky Mountain views and an abundance of wildlife provide an escape from it all. 20-30 volunteer hours a week is all we ask. Your RV site has full hookups. New Hampshire. USACE Elm Brook Park is seeking 2 dependable, enthusiastic, and hardworking volunteer park hosts to join our team for the 2023 recreation season (May 27 - September 4, 2023). Duties include, but are not limited to, staffing the entrance booth, collecting user fees, selling annual passes, answering visitors' questions, and assisting Corps staff as needed. Alabama. Black Warrior and Tombigbee Lakes, Corps of Engineers, Demopolis, AL. We are always looking for dependable and enthusiastic volunteers in our laid-back environment here at the BWT. Schedules are usually either 3-4 days on with 4-6 days off. Commitments normally are for 3-6 months, but feel free to ask about other commitment opportunities. Idaho. USACE Dworshak Dam and surrounding recreation areas. Dworshak Dam holds back the North Fork of the Clearwater River creating a 54-mile-long reservoir with plenty of recreational opportunities for everyone. We are looking for volunteers to join our staff in visitor center operations, maintenance (janitorial/groundskeeping), and campground fee attendant positions for this summer. We are specifically recruiting volunteers starting in mid-May extending through Labor Day. We can be flexible on start and finish dates.
