New Mexico. Looking for enthusiastic Volunteer Hosts - The Quemado Ranger District on the Gila National Forest is looking for volunteer hosts to help manage and operate Little Walnut and Gomez Peak picnic day-use sites. Many volunteer skills are needed, including trade skills (carpentry, electric, plumbing, etc.), customer service, recreation site maintenance, trail patrolling, wood sign making, and others. If you enjoy hard work and meeting new people, a great volunteer position is waiting for you. We’re close to Quemado Lake about 20 miles south of Quemado, NM. Closest shopping and hospital about 70 miles away in Springerville, AZ.  RV site with full hookups; propane, water, electric, and a phone.
