Iowa. USACE Volunteer Service Saylorville Lake. Workampers fill approximately 35 volunteer positions each recreation season. Located north of Des Moines, Iowa, Saylorville Lake has over 2.2 million visitors each year and is minutes from popular restaurants and shopping centers. Assist park rangers, staff, and contractors with park maintenance and operation performing duties to include, but not limited to, custodial services, campground hosts, visitor center staffing, interpretive programming, campground booth attendants, mowing, environmental stewardship, trail maintenance, and others. FHU site provided for approx. 21 hours/week April - October.
