Vista Recreation is one of the largest public recreation concessionaires in the US operating over 600 outdoor facilities in 16 different states.

Our Campground Host Program:

The Campground Host position is typically filled by two people, but can be an individual role in certain locations. The primary objective is to provide a quality recreational experience for visitors within areas operated by the Company. The Campground Host will implement nearly all operational tasks required within their assigned campground or area.

Qualifications for Camp Hosts:

  • Strong customer service skills; enjoys working in an environment of extensive public contact.
  • Basic manual labor abilities, including an ability and willingness to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Basic record-keeping experience, including money handling.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with teammates and the public.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and be able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
  • Willing to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Vista Recreation will pay for all hours worked and for the Camp Host site. Exact season dates, hours, and other varying factors will be dependent on the campground location. We do our best to match employees to the location that works best for them.

Our Management-In-Training Program:

If you love interacting with the public, and are willing to work a flexible schedule, our MIT program is for you! Training includes a mixture of online tutorials and on-the-job training prior to being placed in a management position.
