You’ll see sample budgets used by RVers and typical costs for insurance, vehicle registration and have tools to compute your own. You’ll have the tools and information to decide if you are financially ready to begin RVing.

Ways to keep various aspects of your budget under control. We’ll include 10+ ways to save on camping, cut fuels costs, reduce cell phone and other electronic bills. And, is getting set up for boondocking worth it?

May 5: Choosing your Domicile

How does domicile differ from residency? What are the financial implications? How do I vote? Comparison of three popular domiciles.

June 2: Finding Health Insurance

How to research health insurance. How to move from a group policy to an individual policy even if you have a “prior” condition.

July 7: Choosing an RV

Pros and cons of each, how to research. Developing a checklist of critical things to check. Many learn this by hard knocks rather than checking these things out beforehand. Should I buy new or used? What should I pay?

August 4: Communication on the Road

Mail, TV, Internet, cell phones and money- how do you manage? Look at options for each and their pros and cons. How will they impact your budget and ways to manage these expenses.

September 1: Dry Camping or Boondocking

What is it? Where can you do it? How to set up your rig for boondocking and decide if it is worth it the expense.

October 6: Handling Emergencies

Preparedness and resources for the RVer like roadside assistance, emergency medical transportation, health crisis. What do I do when it is time to hang up the keys?

November 3: Adding to your Income

Introduction to Workamping. Looking ahead to working and volunteering on the road.
