Heads Up! A New and Improved Rendezvous!

RENDEZVOUS HEADS-UP – April 26-28, 2011

Beautiful Heber Springs Lake

Did you know that George Montgomery, the RV Tax Master, will be on hand to help you maximize your understanding of how to do your taxes as a Workamper?

Carolyn Bauer, Manager of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Volunteer Clearinghouse, will give you insight into Workamping for the Corps.

Perhaps you need some help navigating the Workamper News website and the various tools provided. Luke and Jody Duquette are going to help you in these areas.  They also will be glad to explain the various memberships if you have any questions.

Steve and Kathy Jo Anderson look forward to sharing their vision for Workamper News, and Greg and Debbie Robus will reminisce about the past and how they got Workamper News rolling!

Announcing an Optional Bonus Day – April 29, 2011

We are excited to announce other options for the first Workamper Rendezvous that have been added to the schedule.  We know some of you are coming from far away, so we have arranged for an Optional Bonus Day on Friday, April 29th to be coached by Workamper University instructors, Terry Cooper and Jaimie Hall Bruzenak.

Terry Cooper will teach a One Day Session to help you see your RV from a different perspective.  He will teach you tips and tricks in this eight-hour course that will save you time and money and you will leave with a Certificate in hand.  The course is $99.00.

Jaimie Hall Bruzenak will help you with Resume Makeovers, which will include an interview and coaching session with Jaimie. You will leave with three versions of your resume—an Awesome Applicant resume, a print and an email version.  This course is normally $99/person, but she is offering it at $74.00 solo or couple.

Both these courses are something you will definitely want to consider.

Our main focus for the Rendezvous is for you to meet with hundreds of other Workampers who share your lifestyle and dreams.  What a great opportunity to make new friends and share your past experiences.  Some of you have years of experience under your belts while others are anxious to hear your stories.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!  If you are an experienced Workamper and are willing to share at the Rendezvous during the RoundTable sessions, please contact jody@workamper.com and let’s talk about it!

One Month Left to join as a Lifetime Gold Member!

On February 1st Workamper News launched Infusion 2011, along with a Two Month Offer to join as a Lifetime Gold Member.  Well guess what?  The first month is officially over tonight!  If at all possible, you will want to take advantage of this now ONE MONTH Special Offer! You have until  March 31, 2011 to join as a Lifetime Gold Member.

This Lifetime membership will provide you access to a crazy number of resources and educational benefits FOREVER.  As an added incentive, we have included the option to Gift It Forward:  gift the lifetime membership forward to a friend or family member if you no longer have an interest at a later time.

The quality of your dreams and the outcome to See America One Job at Time in your future will be greatly impacted by the questions you ask in preparation.   You may be in the similar situation as Vicki who has many questions and wants to learn as much as possible embarking into the Workamping lifestyle.

Here is what she had to say about being a Lifetime Gold member.

“My husband and I joined [Gold Level] to increase our knowledge about all things Workamper and fulltime RV related.  We have taken advantage of the free training, which has been awesome. . . .I feel like the training and knowledge I’ve gained has already paid for our charter membership fees.  The webinars are easy to log into and I have gained a whole lot of information from sharing with other Workampers during the [Roundtable] sessions.

Although I am still working at a desk fulltime, that is about to end as we embark on our new adventures.”

Are you ready to begin developing your dream too?  This valuable offer will end on March 31, 2011.

Hey Coach!

Change is Good If You Can Navigate the Roadblocks

It is rare today to find anyone that stays on one career path their entire lifetime.  Studies show that most individuals change jobs 7-10 times in the course of a lifetime.  Some people have an idea what they really want to do after they “retire” and others just know they aren’t satisfied with what they are doing.  Finances, geography, family, education, and health all play a part in a person’s limitations to pursue a new career or goal.  How does one explore the possibilities?  Who has the time?  How does one get the fortitude to make necessary changes?

What we all need is a Coach to help us navigate the road blocks!  A Coach provides training, encouragement and empowerment. He gives direction and focus to prevent one from heading in the wrong direction. The road blocks to empowerment can be daunting if one doesn’t have a clue how to navigate them!  Before anything else, a person needs to develop a mental and tangible plan based on solid investigation.  As a result of training, a person finds the determination to hurdle over all the things that stand in the way of reaching a goal.

Finding a Coach is a great way to facilitate a move from desire to reality. How does one find a “Coach” for a major life change?  There are associations, conferences and seminars that one can attend to be “coached.”  The problem is that they are also expensive to join or attend and take a lot of valuable time.  Too often, a person has to already be on that career path or meet certain requirements in order to even become a member or attend a seminar.  Then again, there are often prohibitive expenses such as travel expenses and time off work to attend the conferences and seminars.

Travel is probably the number one goal or dream included in almost everyone’s “Bucket List.”  To be able to travel to some place new AND do something new to make money is almost too good to be true.  Most people, however, have never heard or thought of traveling in an RV or pulling a Fifth Wheel or trailer to a new destination of their dreams.  Most are clueless they could exchange part time work for a site or even get paid, possibly even writing off many of their expenses.  Workamping is a rare exception to that career path change many are looking for…combining travel with work!

The most amazing thing is that Workampers have access to a whole team of “coaches.”  The coaching team is called Workamper News.  So much of the “fear factor” about Workamping is removed once one is coached.  Where else can thousands of people be empowered to learn, to grow, to travel and earn money along the way?  Where else are people enabled to live life to the fullest? Can you think of any other association or membership community that is such an incredible coach?  I don’t think so.

Are You Heading West? Have We Got the Books For You!

Now is the time to start planning your next adventure!  Are you heading west?   We can help by telling you about some awesome travel books in the Workamper News Store. These books published by Rolling Home Press give great informative descriptions of the destinations, roads to safely travel, and RV campgrounds.  We are impressed how well-organized the information is and the easy-to-read maps for Rvers.  They also provide info if you aren’t traveling by RV.

  • Traveler’s Guide to Mexican Camping: Explore Mexico, Guatemala and Belize with your RV or Tent.   $21.95 U.S.
  • Pacific Northwest Camping Destinations:  Rv and Car Camping Destinations in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.  $19.95 U.S.
  • Traveler’s Guide to Alaskan Camping: Alaska and Yukon Camping With RV or Tent. $21.95
You can find any of these great titles in the Workamper News Store.

All courses are 90 minute LIVE EVENT Webinars that begin the first Thursday in March 2011 with a class each week until finished May 19, 2011.  Each class is recorded and available for viewing online should you miss any of the eleven live events. That’s 17 hours of RV maintenance training offered by Workamper University and Mobile RV Academy.  For more, visit www.workamper.com/rvprofessor/rvmaintforladies

WEBINARS:  There’s Nothing To Be Scared Of!

A Webinar provides participants from all over the country the ability to connect with a presenter and other attendees via their computer and/or telephone.  If you are online, you can view the presentation on your computer screen and hear it with your speakers or else hear it audibly by telephone.  The presenter may show you a PowerPoint presentation or share their Internet browser enabling you to see their mouse move as they click through their website. You will be able to interact with the presenter by typing your comment or question within a chat-box online; or speaking into your computer’s microphone and speakers; or speaking into your telephone.

Webinars may seem technologically intimidating, but once you attend one, the rest just get easier! Here are some tips and things to do to make your webinar experience easier.

Registering to Attend an Online Webinar/Jobinar/Dreaminar

To register for a webinar, click the registration link provided.   On the registration page, enter in your name and email address.  You will then receive a confirmation email from @citrixonline.com which is the company that provides the GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar services.   A day or so ahead of time, you will even receive a Reminder email.  On the day of registration, you will receive an email that includes a link to click on, allowing you to join the webinar on the specified time and date.   It’s okay to join the webinar about 5-10 minutes before the actual start time.

We promise you!  It’s not scary, you don’t have to say a thing if you don’t want to; and you can be proud of yourself once you’ve done it the first time!  It is great to attend one live because you can get your questions answered and hear what others have to say.
