Amazon Jobinar Coming Up
Friday, April 30 2010
Register Today!

The Amazon Jobinar was awesome!

The Jobinar featured three HR reps from each of the Amazon fulfillment centers – Irene from Reno, NV; Jenni from Coffeyville, KS; and Nikki from Campbellsville, KY.  Each was online to answer questions from Workampers about the available positions for their upcoming peak season.  Attendance was high and the Q & A portion took the majority of the hour. Workampers were able to type in questions, or speak live.  Questions ranged from what the weather is like, to hours worked, to overtime benefits, and much much more. There were also some experienced Workampers who attended, and gave their perspective on working for Amazon. This provided a VERY well-rounded experience for attendees.

Workampers had a great time learning about the Workamper opportunities that Amazon provides in this very unique format.

“I just wish to comment that this has been a very informative and interesting venue. It has exceeded my expectations and we will seek employment. Thank you.”

- Workampers Mark & Christina Milam

Jobinars are online events that anyone can attend for free. They run about an hour.  An employer hosts the Jobinar and provides a visual presentation, as well as being able to speak and answer any questions. Workampers just have to register to attend – you can register on the Jobinars page under Workampers -> Online Tools. On the day of the event, you just click the link in the email that was sent to you to get logged in to the event on your computer. Then you listen to the audio through your computer speakers, or you can call in on your telephone.  Workampers can type in any questions they have, or they can speak directly with the employer during the event if they have called in on the phone or have a microphone connected to their computer.

It really is a lot of fun!  The great folks at Amazon will be hosting another Jobinar on Friday, April 30th at 11:30 a.m. CT. Please join in – whether you’re considering working for them in 2010, or maybe down the road.
