Adventureland is an outdoor amusement facility covering 200+ acres, featuring: Adventureland Park, Inn, and Campground. We are located on the eastern edge of the Des Moines area just off of exit 142A on Interstate 80. We expect to provide entertainment for well over a half a million guests this coming season.

Adventureland Park opens in late April with weekend-only operations. Mid-May to late August is full-time, daily operations. The season will finish with weekend-only operations through the end of September.

Positions available:

• Rides Operations: running/assisting in the operation of amusement rides.
• Retail Operations: retail clerking in one of the many retail locations.
• Food Service Operations: working in one of six food court areas.
• Games Operations: running games involving skill.

Work requirements:

• During weekend operations - late April to mid-May, and late August to late September - work at least one shift/day.
• During full-time operations - mid-May to late August - work 4 1/2 to 7 1/2 hours/day for 5-6 days/week. You may expect to be scheduled up to 32 hours/week.
• Park dress code does not allow men to have beards or hair extending below the shirt collar. Mustaches above the lip are acceptable. Women with hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back and makeup should be conservative.

Benefits:

• Pay for all hours worked at $6.50 - $7.00/hour.
• No campsite charge from second Wednesday in April to May 31st.
• $125.00/month + tax for campsite charge for June and July.
• No campsite charge for August and September, if Workamper completes the season.
• Campsites are full hookups with laundry, recreation area, and pool.
• Two complete sets of uniform. Workamper is to provide their own predominately white, low-cut athletic style shoes with white socks.

• $100.00/campsite end of season bonus for staying to the end of the season.
