A Webinar home-study course

NOW AVAILABLE FOR 50% OFF!

From: Jaimie Hall Bruzenak and Workamper University

Date: May 22, 2013

The first time we offered Workamping 101 (in 2009), we recorded the sessions. For those who would prefer to work at their own pace, we offer the home-study course version on CD.

Taught by Workamping expert, Jaimie Hall Bruzenak, the home-study course includes the same curriculum that is being updated and presented live in the Fall of 2011. The live course will allow you to participate and ask questions, as well as receive additional bonuses. (For the live version, click here.) We also have an online-only version recorded in early 2011.

Here’s the entire curriculum covered:

Class One: Overview of Workamping and Its Many Possibilities. You’ll begin identifying your Workamping goals for your first position, evaluate how much money you need or want to make, and begin to identify the type of work situation you desire.

Class Two: Zero in on a type of position and Workamping situation. You’ll create a model for your first Workamping position and begin your questionnaire for your Workamping resume.

Class Three: Create your functional resume. We’ll do a demo with a volunteer of creating an ideal job experience. We’ll share examples from our resume worksheets and start your Workamper resumes.

Class Four: Resume hot seat and writing your cover letter. One participant will enjoy the hot seat as we go through their resume, section by section. We’ll review some cover letter templates and begin to write our own. We’ll also demonstrate how to individualize resumes and cover letters to suit the ad.

Class Five: Identify 20 potential employers that are a match. We’ll identify sources for locating Workamping jobs, both advertised and not. We’ll demonstrate how to find a job in a specific geographic area. We’ll also outline the process for researching employers. Participants will begin contacting their 20 employers and sending out resumes.

Class Six: Following up with employers and preparing for an interview. We’ll begin our list of interview questions and learn techniques for follow up that will gain you the inside track to a job and more information.
